Turn Me On – The Soon Music

Our boy Joey Paranoia has been hiding out lately…or has he ? It comes to no surprise that the man resurfaces with not only new originals, but a new record label to boot! Welcome to “The Soon Music” and the debut track “Turn Me On” by The Soon, with an amazing remix by Craig James. We asked Joey where this new direction come from and he simply stated, “I just wanted to come home and play techno. The EDM bubble is fun and all but as an artist I needed to follow my heart and creatively I was over the commercial sound. I wanted to work with new people and try new ideas, so I did a lot of traveling and just got back to basics as they say”. “Turn Me On” was followed by “Liebe” the second release off the “The Soon Music”. It’s a beautiful example of how far you can take a simple piano riff. Joey built the whole song around a couple of chords, layered and cut up the vocals and programmed the drums to take the track home. He wanted a broad spectrum for the remixes so he employed Winston Wolfe for the harder, clubby version and went to his old high school buddy Audible Impossible for the Chilled out mix. “Both remixes are wonderful and I couldn’t be more pleased”. His label already broke the Top 100 Tech House releases on Beatport earlier this month and the next release is said to be scheduled for mid February. Be on the lookout for new music from Wastelands, Craig James, and Funkshway!
